WHAT IS MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS?
We are a non-profit private organisation, based in Oeiras (Lisbon), informally established in 2010 and formally incorporated in 2013. We work in the area of education and social entrepreneurship with difference audiences, including youngsters, teachers, university students and adults.
WHAT IS THE MISSION OF MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS?
Our mission is to create a generation of proactive and resilient citizens, with an impact on the community.
IN PRACTICAL TERMS, WHAT DO MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS DO?
We implement several programmes based on non-formal education methodology through workshops, adult training, competitions, immersive programmes, unconferences, among others.
WHERE DO MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS OPERATE?
NUT II Algarve – Albufeira, Portimão, Faro e Loulé.
NUT II Alentejo – Aljustrel, Ferreira do Alentejo, Alcácer do Sal, Arraiolos, Alter do Chão, Vila Viçosa, Alcácer do Sal, Portalegre, Elvas, Santiago do Cacém, Azambuja, Santarém.
NUT II Área Metropolitana de Lisboa – Sacavém.

Yes, Mentes Empreendedoras programmes can be adapted to the needs of those who seek us, always in accordance with our mission.
HOW CAN I BE A FELLOW AT MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS?
Se fazes parte de uma empresa ou uma universidade, podes integrar o programa Leadership Fellows. Entra em contacto connosco para mais informações sobre a inclusão do programa no plano de formação da tua entidade.

WHAT IS THE GLOBAL TEACHER PRIZE?
The Global Teacher Prize is a national competition that recognises and values the teaching profession, celebrating their work around the world. It aims to see the impact of teachers recognised, not only by their students but also in the communities around them.

IS THE GLOBAL TEACHER PRIZE PORTUGAL PART OF MENTES EMPREENDEDORAS?
Mentes Empreendedoras are responsible for implementing the competition in Portugal, thus giving rise to the Global Teacher Prize Portugal.
