FROM YOUNGSTER TO YOUNGSTER, DEVELOPING AN ATTITUDE “I WANT. I CAN. I DO!”

The Mentes Empreendedoras programmes are aimed at youngsters studying in the 7th to 12th grades, from north to south of the country, and, through an experiential training model, develop leadership, autonomy and talent skills in students, activating their potential to generate an impact on the community where they live, on society and on their ability to overcome themselves. We want students to perceive themselves as agents of change and be able to create and implement innovative and creative ideas that enhance their learning, acting as a reference of inspiration for themselves and for others. The face-to-face work enables the development of skills in students that allow them to leverage their role in a context of active and impactful citizenship. Thus, we foster a proactive attitude based on active citizenship, pragmatism, on being part of the solution and also on critical thinking in the face of challenges. Pretendemos que os alunos se percecionem como agentes de mudança e sejam capazes de criar e implementar ideias inovadoras e criativas, que potenciam a sua aprendizagem, atuando como referência de inspiração para si próprios e para os outros. O trabalho presencial possibilita o desenvolvimento de competências nos alunos, que lhes permitem alavancar o seu papel num contexto de cidadania ativa e de impacto.

Desta maneira, fomentamos uma atitude proativa que assenta na participação ativa, no pragmatismo, no ser parte da solução e ainda no pensamento crítico perante desafios. Estas competências surgem como nota dominante no dia a dia e no futuro dos jovens.
